I don't know if it's the change of seasons, the constant travel, my hectic lifestyle or a combo of it all.. but I seem to have contracted a cold that I just can't shake. And it's such a drag.. I am literally the world's worst patient. I HATE being sick. I find it a HUGE inconvenience. The term "bed-rest" gives me as much anxiety as the phrase "mocktail" or "i'm-sorry-we-don't-have-your-size". Most of the time I just try to ignore it and hope that it will just go away - but this one is a DOOZY and I have finally succumbed to hanging at home for a few days to recover. 

I try to avoid antibiotics if I can (they don't do squat for the common cold anyway) and I just up my intake of goodness. Flooding the body with nutrition is really the only way to give it what it needs to fight the bad guys - and it doesn't mean you have to down handfuls of tablets either. Getting a good dose of vitamins and minerals can be yummy!!! 1 x frozen banana
Handful of fresh raspberries
1 x large dollop coconut yoghurt
1/2 x cup coconut water

Put all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.
Garnish with fresh raspberries
